Puerh has been known in China for centuries & all come from the Yunnan Province in south west China. The Yunnan soil & climate together with the ageing process produce a tea that has a rich, earthy flavour. Puerh has surged in popularity due to its reputed slimming & detoxing qualities. It is now the 'IT' tea in some Celebrity circles.

This 'Slimming tea' is a large loose leaf with the distinctive woody aroma of all Puerhs. In the past these teas were buried in the ground to mature for one year, nowadays, they are moisturised and held in dark cellars.
